Blake is also a regular contributor to the Travel section of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and many other outlets, so if you're looking for the writer/freelance journalist named Blake Guthrie, bingo, you've found him, although this site is more about his music. From American Heritage and Merriam-Webster: Blake Guthrie [noun, transitive verb]: song-poet in the vein of Dylan, Springsteen, Lou Reed, Johnny Cash and Jonathan Richman [see also: singer and guitarist with a writing problem].

Blake Guthrie is a freelance writer and award-winning singer/songwriter formerly based in Atlanta now living in the Middle of Nowhere, Georgia. He has won–-or been a finalist in–-numerous songwriting competitions, including the OurStage Top Ten, the Eddie's Attic Open Mic Shootout, the Independent Music Awards, the KRCL Performing Songwriter Showcase (Top Ten), and the International Songwriting Competition. For two years in a row, he was selected as “Critics Choice” as “Best Acoustic Act/Singer/Songwriter in Atlanta” by Creative Loafing back when that publication was still the largest newsweekly in the Southeast (this was BEFORE Blake started writing for the magazine).
He also wants you to think that he didn't write this himself.
